After much deliberation and soul-searching between the very cool and the uber logical (Firetrucks were mentioned!) we decided that the most fitting vehicle is a Ford Transit T150 (we don’t know what that means either). Mainly its got high suspension, its W-Reg (2000) and has only done 58,000 miles. Better ever, its an LPG convert which according to the ever informative internet will put is in good stead in expensive countries, whilst also readily available. To complete the 10,000 mile journey where tarmac is definitely the minority, (Mongolia only has 80 miles of tarmac) we’re giving it a full service, but thats all. For comfort over the coming weeks we’re putting a few bunks in the back, looking to gain a rooftent, and maybe even a fridge. For the exterior, we’re going to cover it in stickers and, hopefully, advertising which’ll get seen all the way to the roadless capital in Ulaan Baatar. If you are interested in donating any of these to us, please don't hesitate to get in contact with us.
